About

Juno and me

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.

–George Bernard Shaw

Erin Vaganos grew up in an underground house her parents built in the woods of north-central Pennsylvania, near the Finger Lakes of New York.

Her illustrations are mostly traditional–paintings are done in acrylic and watercolor, and I draw in pencil, pen, and pastel.

She works in a big library/studio on an old roll-top desk with two co-creators (one is 10, the other is 7) who are always giving her fantastic ideas.

She loves playing the piano, reading, plants and animals, rainforests, and walks in the woods.

To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.
